Day Parade to be held Saturday, October 24 at 9:30 am. Parade line up may begin at
8:00 am on the campus of South Dakota State University and near the South Dakota
Art Museum. The parade route: starts at 11th Street and Medary Avenue and heads
south down Medary Avenue to 6th Street. The parade route then heads west on 6th
Street for six blocks until heading south on Main Avenue for three blocks. Though a
majority of City Council members may be present, no official city business will be

Recreation Advisory Board members and four (4) City Council members may be
present at the Food Forest Open House at the Douglas Chittick Community Gardens on
Sunday, October 18th from 4:00 PM to 6 PM. Though a majority of the Sustainability

It is possible that at least four (4) City Council members may be present for the
Brookings Regional Growth Alliance New Resident BBQ event to be held on
Tuesday, Septemeber 15, from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm at Hillcrest Park. If inclement
weather occurs, the event may be moved indoors to Hillcrest Elementary School.
Though a majority of City Council members may be present, no official city
business will be acted upon. This notice constitutes sufficient public notice
according to SD Codified Law 1-25-1.1.
