Police Accountability Board

The Caroline County Administrative Charging Committee is meeting to approve prior minutes and conduct a closed session to discuss Police Accountability Board complaints and perform administrative functions. In closed session, the board will review two completed investigations (SO# 23-06 and DPD# 23-004) and receive an update on a withdrawn Attorney General opinion. The meeting reconvenes in open session for a report from staff before adjourning.

Board of Elections

The Caroline County Board of Elections is holding its monthly meeting to ratify December minutes, hear reports from the election director and attorney, and discuss new business. Key items include voter registration figures, the FY2024 budget, the FY2025 budget calendar, and election judge assignments for the 2024 primary. The board will also review a year-end maintenance audit and discuss 2024 municipal elections.

Agricultural Advisory Board

The Caroline County Agricultural Preservation Advisory Board will meet on January 11, 2024. The meeting includes a review of an owner's lot request by Leona F. Robinson and discussion regarding the Bi-State Feeders, LLC Anaerobic Digester Project.

Planning Commission

The Caroline County Planning Commission will hold its regular meeting on January 10, 2024, at 6:00 pm in Denton, MD. The agenda includes the election of officers, 2024 Rural Legacy Area Prioritization, and a clearinghouse review of the Marina Park and East Central Avenue Pumping Station Replacement and Coastal Sustainability Upgrade in Federalsburg. The commission will also discuss the Federalsburg Annexation Request, a BZA update, department updates, and potential regulation changes. County Commissioners

The County Commissioners will hold a legislative first reading to authorize additional projects funded from 2019 consolidated public improvement bonds. They will also hear updates from Compass Regional Hospice and the Caroline County Council of Arts, and consider approving several purchase orders for fuel and vehicles. The meeting includes a closed session to discuss county employee appointments or assignments.
