Finance Committee Meeting
The Colonial School District Finance Committee is meeting to review and recommend action on several financial items, including refinancing 2018 bonds, approving the MCIU services budget, and approving spring musical budgets. The committee will also discuss the 2024-2025 budget, which currently projects a deficit, and receive updates on the current year's budget.

- CMTHS 2024-2025 operating budget totals $11,096,442, a decrease of $400,599; Colonial's proposed contribution is $2,461,844, an increase of $413,872.
- 2024-2025 budget projects a $2,785,634 deficit; funding it would require a 2.63% tax increase (0.658 mills) to a rate of 25.678 and use of $400,000 from assigned fund balance.
Board Business Meeting
The Colonial School District Board held a business meeting on January 18, 2024, where it approved routine items including minutes, financial reports, the treasurer's report, and the superintendent's personnel report. The board also adopted governance principles, appointed representatives to external boards, and approved educational service contracts and a settlement agreement.

Facilities Management & Transportation Committee Meeting
The Colonial School District's Facilities Management & Transportation Committee is meeting to discuss several facilities and transportation items. They will review the bid schedule for the CES Renovation Project, updates to the 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan, work completed over winter break, and receive a transportation update from Mr. Digian. The meeting includes public comment periods.

Finance Committee Meeting
The Colonial School District Finance Committee will consider transferring $5.75 million from the General Fund to the Capital Projects Fund and reallocating $6 million in committed funds to meet state reserve limits.
