City Council Regular Meeting

The Cortez City Council will hold a second reading and public hearing on Ordinance No. 1331, which would repeal and replace the entire City of Cortez Land Use Code. City Council Work Session

City Council Regular Meeting

The Cortez City Council will hold a public hearing on a six-month moratorium on licenses for natural medicine healing centers and related facilities while it drafts local regulations. City Council Work Session

Planning and Zoning Commission Special Land Use Code Hearing

The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on Resolution No. 3, Series 2025, which recommends that the Cortez City Council adopt a proposed comprehensive Land Use Code. The commission will vote on forwarding the resolution to the council after hearing public comment.

Planning and Zoning Commission

City Council Regular Meeting

The Cortez City Council will meet to approve routine consent items (minutes, expenditure list, liquor license renewals) and consider several new business items. These include awarding a fencing contract for the police department parking lot, accepting a copier contract for city buildings, appointing councilmembers to a conference, authorizing a letter of support for a statewide radio system, and appointing a member to the Historic Preservation Board. Planning and Zoning Commission

The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on a site plan review and special exception (parking) for a fourplex at 422 E 3rd St. They will also vote to approve minutes from November and December 2024, and appoint a chair and vice-chair for 2025. A presentation on the Transportation Master Planning project will be given.
