Lodger's Tax Committee

The Angel Fire Lodgers Tax Advisory Board is meeting to discuss short-term rental rules and regulations and review an agreement for the Independence Day drone show. The board will also approve the consent agenda and minutes from its September 14, 2022 meeting.

The committee voted to submit a proposal to the council to accept a three-year agreement with Sky Element Drone Shows for 2023-2025. They also discussed proposed changes to the village lodgers tax statute, including adding short-term rentals to the taxable premises definition and replacing 'vendor' with 'business' in licensing requirements. The village website RFP remains pending with no submissions received.

Council

The council ratified Mayor Mixon's placement of Fire Chief Kevin Henson on administrative leave pending an HR investigation, with a 4-0 vote.
